Tracing the layers of a city where empires rose and civilizations intertwined

On Sunday, May 3, join us for an engaging lecture presentation exploring the early history of Istanbul—from its origins as a Greek colony to its transformation into the capital of the Roman and Byzantine Empires. Through art, architecture, and storytelling, this talk will highlight the great monuments and enduring legacy of one of the world’s most fascinating cities.

Time: 3:00–5:30 PM

Join us from 3:00 PM for a relaxed gathering, followed by the lecture from 3:30–4:45 PM, with time to socialize afterward.

Location: Masa Midtown, Kingston

Capacity: Limited to 40 guests (RSVP required)

Admission: $40 per person

About the Lecturer
Sevan Melikyan is an art historian, lecturer, and founder of Artblazing Tours, specializing in small-group cultural journeys. Born in Istanbul, he brings both personal insight and deep historical knowledge to the subject. He is also the owner of Wired Gallery in High Falls, NY, and leads annual art-focused tours to Istanbul and other culturally rich destinations.
